We provide short-term financial intervention and case management to help stabilize your housing situation before homelessness occurs.
How does Emergency Housing work? Emergency Housing may be an option if you are experiencing homelessness or couch surfing and are ready to work on the challenges that led to your housing crisis. Do I have to have Active Duty service to qualify? Certain programs require active duty service to be eligible, but because NMVIC offers multiple housing and supportive programs, service requirements vary. Speak directly with one of our Outreach Specialists to see which programs you qualify for.
Can I still get services if I don't have a VA card, DD-214, or state ID? Yes. You will not be turned away for services! Our staff can help you replace a missing DD-214, assist with verifying your Veteran status to establish program eligibility, and guide you through enrollment at the VA hospital if you are not currently enrolled.
