Begin Here: Getting started begins with submitting our simple referral form or stopping by our Albuquerque Campus during normal business hours.

Who Can Submit: Veterans, concerned family members of veterans, and partner agency employees such as police officers, CPSWs, etc.

We review

What Happens: Our team reviews your military discharge documentation, current housing / financial situation, and immediate needs. We look for potential solutions.  Additionally, we often meet with each other to make sure we've considered all possibilities.

A call, an email...contact: We respond to you.  We may have questions, we may need some documentation, or we may just need to set a meeting time and date.  Either way, you can expect response from someone on the VIC team that pertains to your specific needs.

ROUTINE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for assistance, you, or the veteran you are seeking

to help, must meet the following conditions:

  • A Veteran of the US Armed Forces (Active, Reserve, National Guard) or Un-remarried Surviving Spouse of a Veteran
     

  • Certain programs may require active duty service to be eligible

  • Discharge Status: eligibility for programs varies and may depend upon the character of discharge.  We encourage all Veterans to apply, as we offer diverse programs with different criteria
     

  • Willing to accept help and improve your life
     

  • Must live in New Mexico

  • Unsure if you meet these requirements or don't have a copy of your ID or DD214?  Apply anyway and we'll respond.
