VETERANS INTEGRATION CENTERS AWARDED THREE-YEAR CARF ACCREDITATION

(Albuquerque, NM) – The International Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) announced that Veterans Integrations Centers (VIC®) has been awarded a three-year re-accreditation. This is the 2nd consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that CARF has awarded the VIC.

“CARF accreditation shows just how much an organization cares not only about the client, but about the processes in place to ensure continuity. It is an arduous process and takes the entire team to not only enforce high standards, but ensure that they are maintained,” says Bobby Ehrig, CEO. “I am proud of the work our teams accomplish at the VIC for our Veteran families, but I am even more proud when we can show others just how hard and determined we are to improve how we do business to support our Veteran families.”

The CARF Survey Team said that VIC Staff “are well qualified, veteran centered, and dedicated to the mission of the organization and the provision of quality services.” And, described the VIC as having the “heart for the veterans” and “provides stellar quality services.” One Veteran told the CARF Survey Team, “he didn’t even want to think of where his life would be without VIC.”

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that is awarded to an organization. It also validates the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. The VIC went through a rigorous peer review process, and demonstrated to a team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality. The Survey Team praised the VIC’s outreach efforts to reach every Veteran who needs assistance or wants services. They also commended the VIC staff for “doing what it takes” to help a Veteran even if they may not be able to provide assistance.

Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
