  • The National Horseshoe Pitcher's Association Tournament Rules will be applied to this charity-fundraising event. The Knights of Columbus Council 12812 - Mother Theresa of Calcutta in Albuquerque, New Mexico is the prime sponsor and facilitator of the "King of the Rio" Horseshoe Tournament and in support of homeless veterans in New Mexico.
  • "King of the Rio" prizes: 1st Place - Title Trophy and $400; 2nd Place - $200
  • "Pitch for the VIC" prizes: 1st Place - $400; 2nd Place - $200
  • Teams will play a minimum of seven (7) games, five (5) pool games and double elimination bracket.
  • Tournament start time: 9:00 am.
  • Bring your own horseshoes to the tournament.
  • Players, guests and spectators assume all risk for their health and safety.
The NM Veterans Integration Center (NMVIC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission to assist homeless veterans with housing, employment, health and human services. Funds raised from the "King of the Rio" and "Pitch for the VIC" Tournaments will benefit the VIC;s building fund. Your contributions are appreciated.
