| President - Elise Wheeler |

Elise M. Wheeler, Lt Col, USAF Ret
Ms. Wheeler is a Veteran of over 20 years in the Air Force and is passionate about taking care of her fellow veterans. When she retired in 2007, she made the decision to “plant” herself in Albuquerque and get involved in helping her community. She served as the Director of the University of New Mexico’s Veterans Resource Center and associated with NM Department of Veteran Services until Mar of this year. The primary function is to help Veterans and their family transition into the civilian world with emphasis on education. She has developed an extensive network throughout the state which enables her to handshake the Veterans to any agency which will enhance the transition. In 2009 she joined the NM Veterans Integration Center Family and is now the Vice President of the Board. She spearheaded the logistics of the 2010 Homeless Stand Down where over 800 Veterans and civilians were helped. Elise is working with the YWCA as they stand up the Women Veterans Transition Center and will focus her efforts there on educational benefits. She is also involved with Military and Army One Source with a goal of helping all Armed Forces Members and their families enhance their lives. Margarita (Margie) Maestas-Flores is a retired community college business educator who has served on the NMIVC Executive Board since June 2009. She was introduced to the NMVIC through her board work with Rebuilding Together Albuquerque(RTA), a nonprofit organizaion that provided assistance for the former facilities of the NMVIC.
Originally from Pixley, California, Margie moved to San Jose, where she earned a BS in Business Administration from San Jose State University, followed by an MA in Education from the University of San Francisco. (read more) |

| Michael Anderson |

Michael practices in general business law and corporate matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, real estate and land use. He has more than 15 years of experience across a wide range of industries and in various locations around the United States and internationally. Michael is currently employed as Associate University Counsel at the University of New Mexico. In addition to a Juris Doctor, he also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business with a minor in Economics. He is a member of the State Bars of Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico and Washington State. |

On January 12, 2004, Larry J. Campos became the State Veteran’s Coordinator for the New Mexico Department of Labor. Larry was previously assigned as the Local Veterans Employment Representative and the Workforce Investment Act Coordinator at the Artesia and Carlsbad One Stop Career Centers. As the State Veterans Coordinator, he supervises twelve full time Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVER), six half time LVER and nine full time Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) specialists. The LVER and DVOP provide employment and training services to all eligible Veterans in the State of New Mexico.
